THE PURPOSE
Our goal is to connect more people to local food. The Farm Fresh Atlas website and print publication features Wisconsin farms, farmers' markets, restaurants, stores and other businesses that sell local food and use sustainable production and business practices. Whether you’re a Wisconsin resident or visitor, we hope the Farm Fresh Atlas helps you connect to the agricultural heritage and good food throughout the state.
The Farm Fresh Atlas began in 2002 in Southern Wisconsin as a project of REAP Food Group. All of our listings are updated on an annual basis; online listings are updated each February and new print editions are released in the spring. In 2016 REAP Food Group and partners received a USDA FMPP Grant to develop this website and map, and launched a marketing campaign to promote and evaluate the Farm Fresh Atlas. In 2023, after years of independently produced regional Atlases, we are coming back together under REAP to create one statewide Farm Fresh Atlas™ of Wisconsin.

Provide safe and fair working conditions for employees.
Independently manage their farm or business.
Treat animals with care and respect, ensuring access to the outdoors.
Support Wisconsin farmers, organizations, and local food business owners.
Sell and promote local products, emphasizing ingredients grown or produced on Wisconsin farms.
While our pledges are signed in good faith, the Farm Fresh Atlas network reserves the right to review and remove listings if a listee’s business practices are not in accordance to the spirit of the pledge.
