About Us

Our goal is to connect more people to local food. The Farm Fresh Atlas website and print publications feature Wisconsin farms, farmers' markets, restaurants, stores and other businesses that sell local food and use sustainable production and business practices. Whether you’re a Wisconsin resident or visitor, we hope the Farm Fresh Atlas helps you connect to the agricultural heritage and good food throughout the state.

The Farm Fresh Atlas began in 2002 in Southern Wisconsin as a project of REAP Food Group. All of our listings are updated on an annual basis; online listings are updated each February and new print editions are released in the spring. In 2016 REAP Food Group and partners received a USDA FMPP Grant to develop this website and map, and launched a marketing campaign to promote and evaluate the Farm Fresh Atlas. In 2023, after years of independently produced regional Atlases, we are coming back together under REAP to create one statewide Farm Fresh Atlas™ of Wisconsin.
